We create wedding films with editorial sensibiltiy and a cinematic eye. Our work is guided by aesthetic exellence and emotional precision. Every frame is curated, every story crafted to feel bold, honest, and unforgettable. But most importantly, we care.

aeya [`æja]

The Hebrew name „Aeya“ means

„bird“ or „to fly swiftly“.

I’m Alex, the creative mind behind aeya.

I married Juli 3 years ago, we live in Berlin and have a beautiful daughter together.

Ironically, my first real connection with filmmaking wasn’t a commercial or a music video, it was a wedding. That experience showed me how powerful a single day can be when it’s seen with the right eyes. I spent the next 10 years immersed in the commercial world, directing campaigns for some of the biggest brands around. But in all that scale, I started to miss something quieter, something real, intimate, and deeply human.

That brought me back here, but not to pick up where I left off. I came back to do it differently.

aeya is how I reimagine wedding filmmaking, not as a service, but as an art form. Curated, cinematic, honest. Built on trust and shaped with clarity, my work brings a renewed focus on style, sound, pacing, and atmosphere. Each element working in harmony to create something immersive and deeply personal.

I’m not interested in templates or staged perfection. Every couple, every story, every moment carries its own rhythm, intimate, honest, unrepeatable. My job is to recognize that and shape it into something that feels timeless, now and in the decades to come.

FAQ

  • It always begins with a conversation. Once you’ve had a look at the booklet and feel a certain direction could fit, just send a quick message. We’ll set up a call and talk, not just about logistics, but about energy and connection. We’ll spend a lot of time with you on one of the most personal days of your life, and for that to work, it has to feel right for all of us. The goal isn’t to lock anything in, it’s to get to know each other and see if this is the right creative fit.

  • It’s always two of us. I work with a small circle of trusted cinematographers, people I’ve known for years, who share the same focus and vision. That way, we can be in two places at once, notice what matters, and create something that truly feels complete.

  • Of course. If you have a big idea, a wild vision, or something small and deeply personal, tell me. I love hearing what matters to you. Whether it’s a multi-day trip or a detail others might miss, this work only gets better when it’s shaped around you.

  • Yes, we do, and we love it. There’s something about real film that simply can’t be replicated. The texture, the softness, the imperfections, it’s straight up timeless. We offer both Super 8 and Super 16, depending on what fits your story best. If film is something you're drawn to, let’s talk about how it can become part of your day.
